Dear ,

Here is a new Progressive Secretary letter. You will be able to edit your name, address, etc. in the next step.

This is a letter supported by a variety of civil rights organizations, and asks the House to pass the Senate version of the Violence Against Women Act.

All women in America should be protected from violence.

In the past, the Violence Against Women Act has been reauthorized with bipartisan support in both houses of Congress. This year, the Senate bill expanded coverage to include Native Americans, immigrants and women who are assaulted because of their sexual preferences. The House bill did not include these new protections.

The issue is not money. Protecting more women does not increase the cost of the programs funded by this law.

Please do the right thing for some of the most vulnerable women in our country. Support and vote for the Senate version of this reauthorization bill.
