Dear Progressive Secretary Supporter

Here is a new Progressive Secretary letter.

This letter supports actions by various governors, medical professionals, labor unions, and others asking Congress and the President to make sure that every person who is covered by The Affordable Care Act continues to have affordable health care, not merely "access" to it.

Your letter will be sent to your senators,  Congress members and the President.

Please vote "no" on the American Health Care Act (repeal of the Affordable Care Act).

The AHCA would gut Medicaid. This would harm people with disabilities who rely on Medicaid for necessary services, as well as the elderly in nursing homes.

It would block Medicaid patients from seeking care from Planned Parenthood. This restricts access to cancer screenings, breast exams, and STD tests and treatments.

Within a decade, the very wealthy and the insurance industry would receive massive tax breaks as the result of denying health care to 24,000,000 to 26,000,000 people.

Vote “no” on the AHCA. Do not repeal the ACA until and unless a system that truly lowers costs and covers more people can be established.
