Dear Progressive Secretary Supporter

Here is a new Progressive Secretary letter.

This letter supports a campaign by CredoAction and others petitioning Congress to stop arms sales to countries that abuse human rights.

Section 36(b) of the Arms Export Control Act says that Congress has the power and authority to pass legislation to block or modify an arms sale at any time up until the weapons are delivered into foreign hands.

Your letter will be sent to your Senators and your Congress member.

A bipartisan group of Congress members and Senators already oppose the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia. Please join their efforts to block this sale.

Saudi Arabia's record of human rights abuses is horrible. The country's recent bombing of Yemen has left nearly 4,000 civilians dead. Millions are facing starvation. Because of our support of Saudi Arabia, according to Senator Chris Murphy, "The Yemeni people are being radicalized against the United States."

Both House and Senate members have introduced resolutions rejecting the sale of weapons to the Saudi government. Most concerning is the inclusion of precision-guided missiles.

Please support H.J. Res 102 and S.J. Res. 42.
