Dear Progressive Secretary Supporter

Here is a new Progressive Secretary letter.

This letter supports actions by MoveOn, Free Press, the ACLU, and a multitude of other organizations asking Congress to preserve net neutrality.

FCC Chair, Ajit Pai has announced plans to eliminate net neutrality, the rule that says that the companies that provide your Internet service can't decide what you see, how fast a website loads, etc. Congress can overrule his decision.

Your emails will be sent to your Congress member and your Senators. The FCC vote is expected on December 14, 2017.

Protect the policy of net neutrality.

Net neutrality protects user privacy, keeps broadband prices competitive, helps new companies innovate, boosts the country's economy and mitigates income inequality.

“Net neutrality” means that companies providing our Internet service can’t block content, slow traffic, or create “fast lanes” to prioritize websites whose owners pay more. Like telephone companies that connect callers regardless of how much they can pay, the Internet is a protected utility.

FCC chair, Ajit Pai, has called for a vote to abolish net neutrality, to relinquish the FCC’s role in protecting Internet users. If the FCC eliminates the net neutrality rule, Congress must step in to protect Internet users.
