Dear Progressive Secretary Supporter

Here is a new Progressive Secretary letter.

This letter supports actions by MoveOn, Free Press, the ACLU, and a multitude of other organizations asking Congress to preserve net neutrality.

The FCC voted to eliminate net neutrality, the rule that says that the companies that provide your Internet service can't decide what you see, how fast a website loads, etc. Congress can overrule this decision, and is poised to vote on it. There are currently 50 votes to overturn the FCC's decision

Your emails will be sent to your Congress member and your Senators.

Protect the policy of net neutrality.

Net neutrality protects user privacy, keeps broadband prices competitive, helps new companies innovate, boosts the country's economy and mitigates income inequality.

“Net neutrality” means that companies providing our Internet service can’t block content, slow traffic, or create “fast lanes” to prioritize websites whose owners pay more. Like telephone companies that connect callers regardless of how much they can pay, the Internet is a protected utility.

Now that the FCC has eliminated the net neutrality rule, Congress must step in to protect Internet users.
