Dear Progressive Secretary Supporter

Here is a new Progressive Secretary letter.

This letter supports actions by Progress America, People for the American Way, the AFL-CIO, Common Cause, and others. It asks Congress to keep the Post Office running.

We will send your letter/email to your senators and your Congressperson

Americans are demanding that Congress ensure that the United States Postal Service (USPS) continues to serve all Americans.

The post office is an essential service, delivering life-saving medications and food at a reasonable cost, and enabling voting by mail. Unlike FedEx or UPS, the USPS serves all Americans, regardless of where they live.

USPS’s current budget shortfall is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A drop in mail volume resulted in an anticipated 50 percent drop in revenue. This administration is attempting to cripple the postal service,  vowing to withhold funding until the USPS raises its prices at a time of catastrophic unemployment.

Congress: protect the Post Office. Fully fund it during this unprecedented budget crisis that the USPS did not create and cannot control.
