VOTE411.ORG- Election Information You NeedLeague of Women Voters

Dear Friend,

As the school year wraps up and the warm weather of the summer looms on the horizon, millions of Americans are starting a new chapter in their lives – graduation is a major achievement.

Along with graduation, many young adults will be moving to embark on the next step in their lives. The League of Women Voters is committed to helping these recent graduates be active and engaged members of their new communities – make sure the graduates in your life register to vote. Send the graduates you know our eCard to congratulate them on their recent achievement and to remind them to register to vote or update their voter registration.

Registering to vote is always important, but this week it is of particular importance because Monday marked the 20th anniversary of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). This vital legislation streamlined the voter registration process, and in so doing, protects voters against state restrictions on voter registration for federal elections. But as we mark this anniversary today, the fate of the NVRA lies with the U.S. Supreme Court. The NVRA has succeeded in bringing millions of citizens into the democratic process by increasing access to voter registration and protecting the integrity of federal elections across the country.

Congratulations, Graduate!

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the NVRA and the new grads in your life by sending them our eCard.
Our eCard directs recipients to an online voter registration form where they can start the process of becoming active participants in our democracy.

The League was a key player in the passage of the NVRA and its passage has greatly informed and improved our voter registration work – both online and through in-person independent voter registration drives. Join us in helping to reach voters – send our eCard to the graduates you know and remind them to register to vote.

With your help, we’ll make sure our youngest voters have a voice on the issues most important to them. Thank you for making democracy work.

Jeanette Senecal

Sincerely,
