I wanted to make sure you saw the latest news coming out of North Carolina.
Yesterday, a federal trial got underway that will determine if North Carolina’s discriminatory anti-voter laws—which have been called the most restrictive in the country—will be allowed to stand.
The League of Women Voters of North Carolina joined with the U.S. Department of Justice and several partners to sue North Carolina after the laws passed two years ago.
National Public Radio did a great piece on the start of the trial yesterday and I wanted to share it with you this morning in case you missed it.
We will keep you apprised of any important developments in the case. You can get even more updates by following us on Facebook and Twitter.
