The League of Women Voters has been buzzing with excitement. The countdown to Election Day 2010 is on.
As with every election during our 90 year history, the League is doing everything we can to ensure that every eligible voter votes during this year’s pivotal elections.
Our work has been on several fronts. It can be seen and utilized firsthand at Vote411.org, our “one-stop-shop” for election information. It’s taken me across the country to states like Florida, Missouri, Texas and North Carolina to meet with voters, elections officials and League volunteers. It’s caused us to ramp up our education efforts to ensure that voters are prepared to cast their ballots and informed about what to expect at the polls.
From registering new voters … to giving Americans the facts about the issues … the League of Women Voters has the plan, the expertise, and the nationwide grassroots network to put political power back in the hands of the people.
The last piece of the puzzle is you.
With so much at stake in November there has never been a more important moment for people like you and me to inspire other citizens to get involved. In fact, what happens on November 2 will impact America’s direction for the next 10 years.
It’s up to you. Get informed. Go vote. And make sure you spread the word to your family and friends about the importance of this election. Your vote is your voice … and it’s time to make it heard.
Thanks, and don’t forget to vote on November 2!
